HOYAN 皓昕
Hong Kong-born British Soprano Hoyan Seawright is an opera singer and music tutor based in Denmark and the UK.
As a Performancer
Hoyan has worked with the National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, Opera Hong Kong, Hong Kong Arts Festival, BBC One, Streetwise Opera, RNCM Opera, Leeds Youth Opera and Maurizio's Opera. Opera roles include Susanna from Le Nozze di Figaro, Papagena from Die Zauberflöte, Mabel from The Pirates of Penzance, Adele (cover) from Die Fledermaus, and Moth from A Midsummer Night's Dream.
She graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music with a Master of Music and Bachelor of Music under the tutelage of Susan Roper, Peter Wilson and Linda Richardson. She is now studying privately with Anthea Dwyer.
As a Teacher
Hoyan's students have achieved exceptional results, such as obtaining choral and music scholarship to study at the University of Oxford and the Chetham's School of Music, scoring Distinction at the ABRSM Exams in Singing (Grade 8), Music Theory and Piano (Grade 5). She was previously a music tutor at Methodist College Belfast and Presto Music Academy in Northern Ireland.
Hoyan started her private music studio back in 2021, offering singing and piano lessons to students of different levels and ages. Also, she is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and is currently learning Danish; and can sing in Latin, Italian, German, French, Norwegian, Swedish and Japanese.
